That's the part where I had the most problem... she'd pull out a book and fling it onto the floor... and walk away... she'll then pull out a box of toys pour them all out and walk away... she'll yank the folded clothes off the chair and walk away... she'll climb up and down the coffee table, sofa, armchair, and bed... she'll play with the water in the toilet bowl and the floor of the bathroom *faint*... but none could keep her interested for beyond a second... imagine how tired we were running and cleaning after her...
But these activities... (in pictures below)... could however keep her quiet for at least a few minutes *grateful*...
Recently bought some dressing-up gears and she was thrilled... she loved the sunshades the most... and she loved to put them on by herself... the ladybug headgear somehow intrigued her as well...look at the fun she had... *smile*
The balcony is one of her favourite places in the house... pretending to mind the plants and walking around the balcony keeps her happy... and she could keep at it for more than 5 mins (isn't that amazing? *LOL*)...We don't attempt to sit her down and teach her new stuff for it's almost impossible to keep her still... so most of the time we'd talk to her and describe the things that she's doing/holding to her...in the hope that she'll learn new vocabulary through all the day-to-day activities.
On times that she does sit down quietly, I'd pull out a book on Baby's First Words (with real-life pictures of things and babies) and describe/read to her... this is rare but I grab such opportunities to read her for at least 1-2mins...
Different child has different temperament, character and learning styles... so I can't take the stuff I've done with Tim and expect to do the same with Little Missy... they are just so so different... *exhausted*...
I am happy that Little Missy is enthusiastic about the activities/things I do with Tim... so I know at least she's learning at the same time... allowing me to "kill two birds with one stone"... *smile*
More updates on the activities I do with both Tim & Joyce coming up!
