In our last session of activities based on this book... we did the Cork stamping exercise... Tim was given a stamp pad, a piece of paper printed with a pail and a cork... but he preferred to use his fingers... and as he went stamping away...he told me "wow mommy, so many blueberries..." *smile*...
I whipped out the book and showed Tim how Sal was helping her mommy in the kitchen bottling the blueberries... and we pulled out his cookery set to play cooking...And we continued with the upper/lower case alphabet matching... from F to Z...
Next, we went through the different names of the bear's body parts... and did some colouring...
Finally, we did this learning the concept of numbers... a number is given and Tim has to put down the amount of blueberries corresponding to the number...While he's able to recognize the numbers, he still hasn't quite grasp the concept of quantity at this juncture... so we'd have to practice more on the MUS (Math-U-See) blocks and re-visit this activity sometime later...
